Already a week since the beginning of the race. Today was the cronoescalada, uphill climb up to Paraiso. Only 10,6km long but steep.

Race description:
10,6km - uphill time trial - (423m)

Race map:
Cachi - Paraiso

How it unfold:
Only 10,6km long the course still had 423m of climbing. With the first 5km flat, pacing was important in order not to blow on the climb.

Ryan was the team top finisher 2min down on Rojas.

Team 1% for the Planet Etienne Samson crashed in the descent near the finish, while Gavriel had a mechanical. Luckily both were able to finish the race and will be able to start the next stage. On a good note, Etienne is now leading the "Lanterne Rouge" classification !

The fact of the day was Rojas. Even crashing and losing 40sec, he was able to win the stage by half a minute on his nearest rival. The fight for the Regularidad with him is going to be very hard with all the mountain comming up !

Jean-Michel: "With the flat section, I was under the impression I could possible gain some time and make some points for the jersey so I went flat out. It ended up to be a mistake as I blew up hard on the climb!"
